BECHTELSVILLE, PA AUGUST 28, 2013 . . . Just two events remain in the battle for the point titles at Grandview Speedway. The closest battle is in the NASCAR Late Model division with Jason Miller, without benefit of a feature win, using consistent performances to lead the standings. The New Tripoli racer has just a 24 point edge over six time champion Chuck Schutz as he tries for his very first Grandview title. Green Laneís Danny Snyder is 49 points behind Miller while Wayne Pfeil Jr. is 114 points out of first. All that can change. In fact there are six drivers that could walk off with the title. However for any of them to have a shot at the championship they will have to do well this Saturday night, August 31.

And in the primary division of competition, the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Craig VonDohren has a significant lead in the point battle as he tries to lay claim to his seventh track title. Duane Howard, winner of nine features, is second in points and would need a lot of good luck on his end and a lot of bad luck on VonDohrenís end to turn the tide and win his sixth title.

Jared Umbenhauer has a comfortable lead in the Sportsman standings over veteran Kenny Gilmore, who won two features last weekend at the Bechtelsville clay oval. Umbenhauer is going for his second straight title.

Of course there will be a lot of action as many drivers in all three divisions try to improve their positions in the lucrative point battles. At least 12 events of racing will be featured on Saturday night.
